Tokopedia Internship Experience
Hello! I'd like to post something yang sedikit berfaedah (ga juga sih) hehehe, i want to share about my last internship experience.
Last week i've finished my internship at Tokopedia.
Ya, i already dreamt it since the 5th semester to have an internship at Tokopedia. The other companies i think about are Traveloka (for the startup company) and Nutrifood also Unilever (for the FMCG company).
The journey started by applied at https://www.tokopedia.com/careers.
You can see the available jobs, and choose which one suitable with your background and your passion then just fill the personal information, upload the resume and submit the application.
If your resume in tune with what they looking for, then you'll receive an interview invitation to the Tokopedia office by email.
Oh ya the important thing you should know is that Tokopedia only open the position when they need the talent. So, we apply the position to start as soon as possible (not for months later).
Beacuse at first i applied at february, then HR team send me an email, asked when i will strat the intern and i reply for July-October and boom! She didn't reply again.
Then i applied again at may if i'm not mistaken, with the different position : Merchant Development.
The next step is interview. This interview is consist of
1) Human Resource interview, which is more about our personality
2) User interview, about the division we will join and ll about the jobdesc.
I directly booked the ticket to Jakarta from Malang when i had the interview invitation. At that time, the interview still at Wisma 77 Slipi. But when i started the internship at July 4th 2017 all nakama already move to the new office at Tokopedia Tower at Kuningan.
And my first day (July 4th) was like "wow! Is it real that i had an internship here? At the biggest e-commerce unicorn startup company?" and felt like a dream.
I have to adapt there with the environment, the people, the culture, with my jobs, everything!
Merchant Development it self is part of Merchant Tribe at Business Team in 47th floor. Concern about how to develop the merchants, acquiring and retention. All events that associated with merchants is also our duty.
So far, it was really fun and i enjoyed this job so much since it was what i expect before.
Until, in the last month, Merchant Development merged with Official Store team accordance to its category. So if i only handle the Health and Beauty merchant before, then i also assist the Health and Beauty brand.
It was really challenged for me. So happy to had this great opportunity and work with these amazing team.
